Qabale Duba is a nurse by profession based in Marsabit County. She is the owner and founder of (Qabale Duba Foundation) that advocates against harmful cultural practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage. She has previously worked with the County government of Marsabit under the Department of Health as a health advocate responsible for women issues.
Qabale has several awards and honours up her sleeve. She is a Mandela Washington for Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) fellow 2016, Associate Fellow of Queens Young Leaders Award 2016, and was appointed champion for reproductive health by the department of health in Marsabit county. She was also crowned Miss Tourism Kenya Peace and Investment 2013/2014 which then put her in a position to work with the county government; Department of Tourism in the County.
